Danny Rogers, Lead Pastor
Danny began serving at New Song Church in January, 2006, as Worship Arts Pastor. Over the next four years it became increasingly clear that God was stirring a passion in his heart to teach, preach, and develop leaders.  By early 2010, the North Carolina Conference of the United Methodist Church recognized this calling of God upon Danny's life and appointed him Lead Pastor of New Song Church. Danny is a life-long learner.  He graduated with a B.A. from Leavell College in New Orleans, LA, and earned a Masters Degree in Christian Education from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. His personal mission statement is "To Share and Inspire Life in Others".  He is passionate about communicating God’s truth in a relevant way so that it can be applied to practical use in everyday life. Danny and his wife Karri were married in 1996, and have two beautiful children.  They hail from the New Orleans area and feel right at home on the Crystal Coast (though they still miss crawfish!).  His hobbies include, playing and writing music, sailing, and SCUBA diving. You can email him at dannyrogers@newsongchurch.tv.

Chad Brewer, Director of Worship
Chad and his family joined the New Song staff in March of 2010 from Wilmington NC. He and his wife have lived in Wilmington for most of their lives, so they are no strangers to Eastern North Carolina. His interests include playing music, golf, photography, coffee and ice cream. Having a passion for seeing God's people connect with His truth, Chad found his outlet in playing music. He has been leading worship for 10 years and was a Worship Leader at Port City Community Church in Wilmington for 9 years. Chad and his wife Meg, were married in 2004 and have a daughter, Layla. Chad graduated from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington in 2004 with a BA in Philosophy and Religion. He is passionate about lifting up Christ through music in worship. "And when I am lifted up from the earth, I will draw everyone to myself.” - John 12:32. You can email Chad at chadbrewer@newsongchurch.tv.
Cheryl Bowen, Director of Creative Arts

Cheryl came to New Song in June of 2003, serving as the Ministry Assistant to the pastoral staff.  She then transitioned to the role of Executive Assistant to the Lead Pastor and also served in the area of her gifts and passion, which is creative worship. Cheryl loves playing keyboard and singing with the New Song Praise Team. Her "spare time" is spent pursuing a M. Div. from Asbury Theological Seminary with the goal of becoming ordained within this decade of her life.  This year, Cheryl and her husband, Jim, are celebrating 21 years of marriage. Their three daughters are at varied stages of life; one married, one in college & one in high school. They are avid ECU Pirate fans and enjoy attending all of the Pirate’s home football games together as well as spending time at home and at the beach.  You can email Cheryl at cherylbowen@newsongchurch.tv.
